Notes: Exterior of the 1835 Italianate-style house and furnished with original period pieces. Much of the furniture was owned by Jefferson Davis and his wife. The house fell into disrepair after the Civil War, but was preserved and opened in 1976 and is run by a ladies association much like George Washington's Mt. Vernon.
